A hotel is an establishment providing accommodation, meals, and other services for travellers and tourists, by the night.
There are a wide range of qualities within this definition starting from extremely basic accommodation through to the very best and luxurious facilities which may rate themselves as 6 star.
Usually hotels are reasonably substantial structures with access to the individual rooms via a corridor rather than open air.
Within this group are also boutique hotels which have become increasingly popular where the properties are generally pretty small and offer a fairly unique guest experience and often concentrate on individual care and attention.
