Whangamata is a growing environment with the new marina now operational. Heck there is talk of gold mining in the hills behind Whangamata and while many people will object, this will bring business to town. The beach is nothing short of superb and it has been said that it is one of the best and safest surf beaches in the country. There are two golf courses close to hand and visitors will be spoilt for choice with bush walks, cycling, boating and numerous other activities.
What a place to live and yet run a business that allows you to enjoy the lifestyle.
In my mind seasonal businesses are the best buys in the market because they have downtime allowing you to either:
- have a rest
- improve the property
- develop marketing strategies
- further your education via extra mural means
- enjoy your family and friends
And if you can grow the off-season then this is all gain and added value. You pay the same for a busy business and have to do less work - it seems clear to me that a seasonal motel is the only sensible option and Blake Court Motel is well positioned in that regard.
